BOVA was born out of a shared desire to find better, more natural ways to support living a healthier and longer life but most importantly, free of pain, naturally. For both co-founders, this journey began during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. With grandparents and friends at high risk, they felt a deep responsibility to protect their loved ones. They researched supplements that could strengthen immune systems during a global pandemic—but what they found was disheartening.

Having spent years improving their immune systems to manage stress and poor health journeys, they knew from experience that not all supplements were created equal. They began digging into the fine print on supplement labels, and the more they looked, the more they realized that many products were low quality, ineffective and even harmful. They quickly realized that many supplements were filled with artificial ingredients, binders, and fillers. Why offer solutions that will fix you and yet harm you at the same time? It made zero sense. No one should cut corners on health.

The Hard Truth About Supplements

At BOVA, they wanted to do things differently. They committed to going above and beyond with additional third-party lab testing to ensure every ingredient was of the highest quality possible. After speaking with friends, family, and associates, Julian and Alessandro realized that many people—especially women—struggled with low iron, while others either weren't getting enough daily vitamins (like vitamin D) or overdid it and eventually stopped taking any supplements at all. Determined to find a solution, they consulted with Naturopathic Doctors, MDs, and nutritionists. The breakthrough came when they discovered the strong link between low iron and beef liver, one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients, grass-fed beef liver seemed like the perfect natural supplement. The catch? Julian couldn’t stomach liver. So, they turned to freeze-dried liver, which eliminates the taste and smell, making it easy to swallow in capsule form.

That was the turning point. They realized that this could be the natural, effective supplement they had been searching for—not just for themselves, but for the people around them who needed something they could trust.

As BOVA’s vision took shape, Julian and Alessandro assembled a team of trusted experts—including Naturopaths, MDs and nutritionists. One of their specialists is an MD that specializes in iron deficiency and through research and testing, the results were clear that a solution like grass fed beef liver can be a very effective natural supplement—and that doctor now serves on BOVA's Board of Advisors.
